Thomas Brambilla Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that promotes international artists and was founded in 2010 with a visionary purpose: to showcase artists who, much like the trailblazing Avant-garde movement, disrupt conventional artistic languages and forms, engaging deeply with contemporary cultural dialogues. The gallery represents and supports artists throughout their careers who spans varied generations and educational backgrounds, fostering a rich tapestry of perspectives and innovations.
In its exhibitions, the gallery bridges the radicalism—both in form and existential inquiry—of established masters such as Lynda Benglis, Maggi Hambling, David Novros, John Giorno, and John Torreano, with the poetic and experimental impulses of younger talents like Jack Pierson, Thomas Helbig, and Marco Cingolani. This interplay between established and emerging voices creates a dynamic platform for artistic evolution and discourse. The gallery is committed to presenting renowned artists who have achieved significant acclaim, such as the distinguished Russian artist Anatoly Osmolovsky or the Belgian Wim Delvoye, alongside introducing the promising works of emerging artists like Erik Saglia. This dual focus not only honors the legacy of established artists but also nurtures the growth of new talent, contributing to the ongoing vitality of contemporary art. In recent years, Thomas Brambilla Gallery has distinguished itself with a series of landmark exhibitions. These include the first Italian exhibition of Lynda Benglis, a major retrospective of Klaus Rinke, solo shows by Simon Linke, and the inaugural Italian double solo show featuring David Novros. Additionally, the gallery has organized debut solo shows in Italy for Joe Zucker and John Torreano, and a second solo exhibition for Ron Gorchov. In 2021, the gallery expanded its impressive portfolio with the first solo exhibitions of Jack Pierson, Robert Feintuch, and Maggi Hambling, as well as a second solo show for Klaus Rinke. Recently, the gallery has also organized solo shows by David Deutsch, Wim Delvoye, as well as John Giorno's debut exhibition in Italy, and the second solo show by Maggi Hambling. In the coming year, programs are underway for a second exhibition featuring new works by Lynda Benglis and Bryan Hunt's debut solo show.
Thomas Brambilla Gallery remains a pivotal space for the intersection of historical significance and contemporary innovation, continually pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and of the art world.
